You’ve Worked hard and diligently and had even fallen ill, but why the promotion you’re after is not also come to you? According Yoris Sebastian, Creative Consultant of Creative OMG says that most of us put IQ or SQ to get ahead in your career, but often forgot to PQ. PQ (Promotable Quotient) is a trick to be pulled further in their careers.

From many points in the PQ, Yoris divides 9 points, especially for someone to be more to maximize his career. Include the following:

1. Happynomics
“Most people talk about passion for the work to remain enthusiastic and eager to do what he was doing. However, I use the term itself, namely Happynomics,” explained Yoris. According to him, Happynomics means doing things that make someone happy, but also has economic value in it. If you do not have a choice about what you love, Yoris said, to try to make a list of things to do but have not been done, then see what can be used as money. If it is not possible to be a place reap income, do it outside work hours. Although it is important to do what we want, still need to be realistic, that we need a certain income, do not suddenly leave the job to pursue what you love doing it.

2. Results-oriented
Even though we worked until midnight, your boss will not care if the result is the same. Your old work will not be meaningful if the results are not a lot. Begin to see your own results. Calculate the results you’ve worked every day, then accumulated each week. “There are books that say that when we work 10 thousand hours, we become experts in the field,” explained Yoris. However, “working a long time would not be meaningful if there were no results,” said Yoris.

3. Perform 70:20:10
Life should be balanced, but we still have to be realistic. We must continue to spend time working as a top. So, Yoris recommend to split 70 percent in a week time to conduct activities related to the job. As many as 20 percent to do what your passion, and the rest, as much as 10 percent to do things that idealist, for example charity.

“You can also try using Google calendar to mark the color on the calendar of activities. From there, you can measure the distribution of your time in a week,” suggested Yoris.

4. Knowledge Makes You Powerful
“Do not be lazy to enrich themselves with knowledge. When we are rich in knowledge, many know the data, then we will be more powerful (powerless),” said Yoris. Enrich your knowledge through books, internet, Twitter, SlideShare, and other channels. Take inspiration from a variety of knowledge you can, do not copy and paste. Because, when you know something more than the others, you become more empowered.

5. Judge the Book by It’s Cover
“Most people would say ‘Do not judge a book by it’s cover’. But, can not be denied, that appearance was important. So, please do care about your grooming,” said Yoris. When you dress up exactly the same with everyone, sometimes you can “sink” among most people.

Yoris exemplifies himself. When he worked at the Hard Rock Cafe, when everyone was wearing casual clothes, like jeans and a sweatshirt, he was trying to be different, he was wearing short-sleeved shirt and tie. Conversely, when he became a consultant, who is usually identified with people who are well-dressed, shirt, tie and pants fabric, Yoris actually wearing a shirt bearing the message, and a pair of materials. He did not suggest to you to dress like him, but he delivered a message to try to be unique. Because of the uniqueness of the past, you could be better known and remembered by others. But, do not forget, when they want to be different, to do with the reasons and the appropriate tools. Do not get remembered as a bad thing.

6. Be Considered
Yoris said, “Old school employees focus on process. Creative employees focus on results.” Being someone who is diligent in doing everything that standard, according to a textbook, it is not enough. Yoris recommends that you want to do something not only suitable job desc, but more than expected. So you can be remembered and relied upon by your superiors. Do good breakthroughs that can show your hidden talents.

7. Learn Persuasive Skill
When you’re enriching themselves, now is the time you “sell” themselves. Learn the science of marketing and self development. Follow courses, seminars, workshops, and read books. This way, you will step forward to get what you want.

8. Evaluation of Written Request
Evaluation of the work is a civil rights and obligations. He must be willing to learn to recognize flaws and strengths. Make sure you know for certain goals in life and careers. When you get an evaluation, you can make it as a race and encouragement to work better.

9. Do not Stop Believin ‘
You are what you think about you. Do not become fixated on one thing, try to keep digging about many things. Do not be broke when they found obstacles. “Creativity is a skill, not a genetic,” lid Yoris.
